Elevating Indigenous Voices in Our Library

We are thrilled to share that our school has been awarded a Halton Learning Foundation grant to enrich our library with a vibrant selection of books by Indigenous authors and illustrators.

Our goal is to ensure our students have access to stories that reflect the true diversity of our world. This newly expanded collection will bring forward positive, contemporary, and historically accurate perspectives for elementary students and their families. Through these beautiful stories and informational texts, we look forward to:

Inspiring Curiosity: Sparking open, thoughtful conversations at home and in the classroom.
Deepening Understanding: Developing genuine cultural empathy and awareness from an early age.
Honoring Truth: Providing young readers with honest, reliable historical context.

Investing in these authentic resources is a vital part of our ongoing commitment to building a welcoming, inclusive, and deeply connected school community.
